Lithium iron phosphate batteries (LFP) do not rely on supply-constrained and hazardous materials like nickel or cobalt to operate. This helps keep their manufacturing costs down and offers a battery that will last on average 67% longer than its equivalent - nickel manganese cobalt (typical lithium ion battery, like your smart phone).
SAVING MONEY
The addition of a battery to a solar system means that any surplus solar electricity that is produced during the day can be stored rather than exporting it to the grid. By doing this the user is saving purchasing electricity any time the solar output is less than the building's electricity demand. If solar output is low and the battery is fully discharged then the National Grid will continue to supply electricity.
